I’m alive, I swear, and I’ll even be posting soon, this week even. Thanks to all of you who keep checking in, and even more to those who are picking on me in the background to post. It’s been a month and a half, I know, but this is not going dead just yet!!

Okay, to all who keep asking…I've lived in Northern Virginia all of my life. Married, no kids, 2 dogs. I graduated from the University of Virginia in 1995 with a degree in astrophysics and I am now a Systems Engineer for the world’s largest defense contractor by day, volunteer Medic, and current Rescue Captain, nights and weekends. I’ve been a repairer of heavy equipment, bank teller, high school teacher, “Webmaster” when that title was cool, Staff scientist, co-founder of one startup, employee number 2 of another, patent holder of 3 patents, friend, and husband. In the fall, I enjoy hunting, camping and football, and consider myself a professional tailgater. I once stormed the field at a football game I didn’t even attend. I have a saxophone, and I’m trying, slowly, to learn to play. I’m just an overweight white guy, who loves to laugh, and tries to see the humor in every situation. I love life, and am continually amazed at what it brings next. I’m just hoping I can share some of the great things (good and bad) I have seen with those around me.

If you would spend less time throwing parties and taking money off of hapless kids in firehouse poker, you might have more time for blogging there, Chief.
